INTRODUCTION: It is a question for the new year. We must make up our minds to be on the Lord’s side – Exodus 32:26

This world is full of distractions that take people away from the Lord’s side; an example is Solomon

It is time to get on God’s side; and step out of the environment that is not of God

Signs Of Being On God’s Side

1. SPIRITUALITY – Spirituality is the custodian of every great destiny in the kingdom of God; so spirituality is the first sign of someone who is on the Lord’s side.

Spirituality is the foundation of our Christianity. Psalm 11:3, 1 Corinthians 3:12, 2 Timothy 2:19-21

No one can flourish in hard times than his spiritual Psalm 33:18, Psalm 37:18-19

What is Spirituality?

– Spirituality is living by the Word; every of your judgment and steps being vetted through scriptures – John 5:22-30

It’s not a pious look. It’s how you live by and obey the word

– Spirituality is obeying God’s Word.

– Spirituality is saying Yes to what the Word says Yes to, and saying No to what the Word says No to – Deut. 5:32-33

2. GODLINESS – It is the only biblical guarantee to securing our place in eternity. It is doing things the way God wants it done. – 1 Corinthians 9:6-11, 2 Cor. 6:17-18

The side of God is the side of sanctification and godliness, which is the side of flourishing.

Being on God’s side is being on heaven’s side. Isaiah 66:1, Ephesians 2:6, Psalm 91:1, Psalm 24:7-8

Being on God’s side is being on the side of dominion. Genesis 2:16, Genesis 3:1-10

1. Beware of lusting after evil things. Learn never to be enticed by the world. 1 Corinthians 10:6

Many things will tempt you and attempt to distract you. You must have personal principles that will not allow you to be enticed.

2. Beware of idolatry. Anything that dictates your life outside God is idolatry. Exodus 32:26-28, Exodus 20:4-5

3. Be righteousness conscious. Be conscious of sanctification. Be conscious of your righteousness in God. 2 Corinthians 5:21

1. It blocks access to answered prayers. When you don’t obey His WORD, when you call on Him, He won’t hear. Sin is a spiritual blockage; it separates people from God. Psalm 66:18, Isaiah 59:1-2

2. It blocks access to revelations. God can’t speak with a dirty sinner. Psalm 25:14
